Ty Gobiath is a new children’s Hospice. It is owned and run by
Hope House in Oswestry, which looks after 240 families from all over
Wales. Many of them have to make a 100 mile trip to the Hospice, so
the idea of another Hospice in North Wales was born.
David Featherstone, who runs Hope House, backed by his Trustees, found a site at Morde in 15 acres – with land down to the banks of the River Conwy.
Behind the Hospice is a large decked area overlooking the river. As it is on a slope, a zig zag path has been designed with one or two secluded seating areas, leading down to a Belvedere or Gazebo with another fabulous view. The sides of the path are beds of colorful, scented plants giving a real sense of peace and solitude for families to get away from it all.
The design and construction has been completed by Wright Landscapes, a member of BALI.
Our special thanks go to the major donors of materials – IMAG, Rolawn, P J
Bridgman, Forest Fencing and Sutton Seeds.
