Rainbows at Loughborough is a newly constructed Children’s Hospice with some of the best gardens yet funded by The Greenfingers Appeal. Designed and built by Julian Cotterell’s company Design and Landscapes, the gardens are packed with interest.
In additional to the secluded and tranquil areas so vital to the well being of families, friends, children and staff in these situations, Julian has introduced a wealth of carefully thought through activities. Featuring raised beds for wheelchair gardening, a remote controlled car track and outdoor chess, the site is sure to be well used.
Great emphasis has also been placed on colour, sound and movement, which is important for so many of the children who’s condition leads to considerable sensory impairment.
